My Review of the Vichy Neovadiol Skincare Collection

I first discovered the Vichy Neovadiol Meno 5 Bi-Serum at a press event and I have to confess, I didn’t really think I was going to love it. I have always been a bit wary of products designed for ‘older’ women and menopause because the whole subject tends to make me feel a bit old and crusty, and it certainly doesn’t encourage me to feel my best self!

The launch event for the Vichy Neovadiol Meno 5 Bi-Serum, however, made me look at the wider issues of hormonal health throughout a female’s life. The fact that hormones change as we age is a fact of life, like when you first start your period and all the skin issues that are associated with that.

The Meno 5 Bi-Serum, along with the complete Neovadiol range, works to target the 5 key visible signs of menopause on skin and has been created to address extra dryness, dullness, uneven skintone/texture and loss of firmer skin that can occur as we approach menopause.

Neovadiol Meno 5 Bi-Serum Review

This is this serum is one of the few products I have tried for menopausal skin, because I have been avoiding yet another label, and I have never really wanted to give in to the idea of menopause.

However, when I tried the Vichy Neovadiol Meno 5 Bi-Serum, I fell in love with the texture straight away, and couldn’t stop using it!

In spite of the fact that I was a bit anti products for menopause, I have now been through 3 bottles of it! It really is such a beautiful serum and I truly think that all skin types would love it. You don’t have to be going through peri-menopause!!

You need to shake this up before you use it to mix the two phases. It has the lightest texture, like a watery essence that instantly quenches and plumps the skin and absorbs so quickly leaving glowing, smoothed out skin.

It is utterly addictive. Considering it is so light, it astonishes me every time how much it does in terms of comfort and how it makes my skin look.

Neovadiol Multi-Corrective Eye and Lip Care Review

After using a couple of bottles of the serum, I decided to try the other day and night products. I particularly love the Eye and Lip treatment. It feels super hydrating and literally seems to fill the skin around my eyes and lips and I feel like it gives a lovely smooth and youthful appearance.

I definitely feel like the skin around my eyes shows signs of ageing more than anywhere else and studies have shown that hormonal variations during menopause can accelerate how quicky delicate skin around the eye and lip contours can thin.

This formula is so good for smoothing out the uneven texture that can accentuate fine lines. It has an instant plumping effect on the skin, and is incredible under makeup. It’s great to carry in my bag to prep my skin if I want to top up my concealer and give it some bounce back.

Neovadiol Plumping Day Cream Review

I have really been enjoying this day cream because it gives my skin a really plump look and it sinks in really quickly, so I don’t have to wait to too long to apply my SPF.

The day cream is super hydrating and creates a lovely smooth base for makeup. It makes my skin really soft and supple and look firm and more elastic. The finish isn’t too shiny and it just gives the skin a healthy sheen.

Neovadiol Revitalizing Night Cream Review

If you suffer with hot flushes, this is the cream to get. Fortunately, I tend not to get hot flushes but I still really enjoy the cooling properties of this night cream.

Apparently, more than 80% of women experience hot flushes as part of the physical symptoms associated with the menopause and this can cause the skin to become drier and more uncomfortable. Combined with associated night sweats and general decrease in collagen production, skin can become dry, tight and uncomfortable.

This has a lovely gel-cream texture and can help reduce the temperature of the skin by up to 2.7 degrees. I think if you use this last thing at night, it can help to temporarily minimise the discomfort of a flush and help you get off to sleep.

Again it’s super hydrating and nourishing, and when I use this combined with the Vichy Neovadiol Meno 5 Bi-Serum, I wake up with calm, hydrated and rested looking skin.
