TV News: Winds, Bosch, Ironheart, Yellowjackets – Dark Horizons

Dark Winds
John Wirth (“Hell on Wheels,” “Hap and Leonard”) has signed on as showrunner and executive producer of the six-episode second season of “Dark Winds” at AMC. Wirth takes over from Vince Calandra, who was the showrunner of the first season.

Based on the Leaphorn & Chee book series by Tony Hillerman, the series is set in the early 1970s on a remote outpost of the Navajo Nation near Monument Valley as a lieutenant in the Tribal Police is besieged by a series of seemingly unrelated crimes. [Source: Variety]

Bosch: Legacy
Max Martini (“Pacific Rim,” “13 Hours”) will take on a heavily recurring role opposite Titus Welliver on the second season of the Titus Welliver-led “Bosch: Legacy” on Amazon’s Freevee.

Martini will play Detective Don Ellis, a hardened vice cop in the LAPD. He’s intelligent and fierce and not above getting down and dirty with the criminals he polices to get the job done. [Source: Spoiler TV]

Ironheart
Zoe Terakes (“Nine Perfect Strangers”) has joined the cast of the Marvel series “Ironheart” on Disney+ in a key but top secret role.

Dominique Thorne stars as Marvel character Riri Williams, a genius inventor and creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. Anthony Ramos, Manny Montana, Alden Ehrenreich, and Shea Coulee co-star. [Source: Deadline]

Yellowjackets
Lauren Ambrose (“Six Feet Under”) has joined the cast of the Emmy-nominated survival drama “Yellowjackets” at Showtime, which begins production of its second season later this month.

Ambrose will play the adult version of Van, the 1990s-set teenage character played by Liv Hewson who has been promoted to series regular for the new run. [Source: THR]
