Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs theme park area has been open several months now and has been welcomed as an exciting new area -but some visitors are getting frustrated that they can’t easily get passes to the most popular rides.

How can I get in to Fantasy Springs?

The Fantasy Springs area is no longer restricted, but ride bookings are scarce. It has some park visitors asking – what is the point of a new ride area if you can’t ride the rides?

Where can I buy Tokyo Disney Resort Tickets online?

You can buy Tokyo Disney tickets from the official third party discount seller Klook.

Can I do DisneySea and Fantasy Springs in the same day?

Yes, although Fantasy Springs was originally a restricted area inside Disney Sea, it has now had all entry restrictions lifted and is a truly integrated part of DisneySea.

Can we line up for Fantasy Springs rides?

No, you will still need to hold:

    1. A valid Fantasy Springs Ride pass

in order to even queue for any of the rides inside the Fantasy Springs area.

What if I’m a nights-only guest of the Fantasy Springs hotel?

Fantasy Springs 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic

Fantasy Springs 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic

Guest of the Fantasy Springs Hotel currently have the option to buy the Fantasy Springs one day ride Passport, Fantasy Springs Magic.

When does the Fantasy Springs Magic Ride Passport end?

The Fantasy Springs one day ride Passport, Fantasy Springs Magic system is now ending 31 March 2025.

From April 1st 2025, Fantasy Springs Hotel guests will need to access Fantasy Springs rides via the general Tokyo DisneySea ride booking system or via ride selections within a Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Package.

What is the Fantasy Springs Magic 1 Day Passport?

The Fantasy Springs Magic 1 Day Passport (in addition to a Disney Sea 1 Day Passport) gives Fantasy Springs Hotel guests unlimited access to the Fantasy Springs ride queues inside Fantasy Springs.

Guests who are staying as non-Vacation Package guests are given an order form at check in to choose how many Fantasy Springs Magic Ride Passes they would like to buy. For these guests, even without a ride pass, entry to Fantasy Springs is guaranteed.

How does the Fantasy Springs Magic ride pass work?

Guests with a Fantasy Springs Magic ride pass receive a wrist-band at their first Fantasy Springs ride, which gives them all-day unlimited access to rides within Fantasy Springs via the Priority Queue (excepting the Tinkerbell Busy Buggies which doesn’t have one).

When does the Fantasy Springs Magic Passport end?

The Fantasy Springs Magic 1 Day Passport is only available until March 31, 2025.

    In preparation prior to arriving

(or while waiting in the queue on the day)

Step 1 – prepare for your day with these two big time savers…

You need to have your Disney Sea entrance tickets scanned into the Tokyo Disney Resort App before you can book any ride passes. If you do this in advance instead of on the day you’ll save precious time and be ready to book the ride passes straight away.

You need to pay for any Premier Access passes you may buy with credit card details entered into the official Tokyo Disney App. You can also do this to save time if you don’t already have your details automatically saved in the app from any hotel bookings or ticket purchase you may have already made.

On the day at Tokyo DisneySea

DisneySea entrance gates head of the morning queue

DisneySea entrance gates head of the morning queue

    Step 2 – Arrive early

If you will be in the main park entrance queue, it’s important to arrive early so you are near to the head of the queue. Optimally, 2 hours before opening. At least 1 hour before opening.

You can read all about how to beat the Tokyo DisneySea entrance queue here.

Do I have to arrive at DisneySea early?

If you are okay with only booking one Fantasy Springs ride, arriving after 9:30am – 10am still gives you a fair chance at one or even two rides. The Frozen ride is still highly unlikely to be available at that time.

    What are DisneySea quieter days?

These instructions are approximations only. They can depend on how busy Tokyo DisneySea is on the day you go. Your best chance is arriving around two hours early or more. If it’s a weekend or public holiday, consider adding another hour.

What can I do during DisneySea Happy Entry?

The exception is Happy Entry – If you are staying at the Disney MiraCosta Hotel or Disney Fantasy Springs Hotel, you will have Disney Sea Happy Entry, which gives you 15 minutes early entry from a special queue.

Happy Entry give you the first access to Fantasy Springs ride passes for the day.

What time should I arrive at DisneySea Happy Entry?

If your heart is set on the Frozen ride, you need to book it during Happy Entry, as it quickly fills up minutes after the general entry opens.

If you are unsure if your credit card will work in the app or are hesitant about booking, I would advise arriving at Happy Entry about an hour prior to opening time. This will get you near the head of the Happy Entry queue. This gets you an extra five minutes head-start within the 15 minutes early entry, as everyone else further back in the Happy Entry queue files in through the DisneySea entry!

Step 3 – Scan into DisneySea theme park

You cannot book ride passes until you scan your TDR entry ticket and those of your entire party into DisneySea.

Step 4 – Book your ride passes immediately

Walk out of the way of the entrance gates and open your Disney App to get booking! The sooner you book your first ride, the sooner you’ll be able to book another of the same type later.

How to book your Fantasy Springs ride passes to maximise the number of rides you can do in one day

Recommended order of ride bookings for Fantasy Springs

Suggested first ride: Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey (Longest, most popular ride)
Suggested second ride: Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival (Second most popular ride, slightly shorter than Peter Pan)

Usually all ride passes have booked up by the time you are allowed to book more, however you never know! So here are the next suggestions…

Suggested third ride: Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure (skip if you get motion sickness or have children under 102cms height)
Suggested fourth ride: Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies (Standby Pass only)(Shortest ride at only 2 minutes long, slowest, quietest ride)

Recommended order of ride pass type bookings for Fantasy Springs

The following 4 bookings can usually be completed at opening time or soon after:

Mobile Orders will eventually book up during the day – it’s hard to predict when, plus you can always refresh the app to check new times haven’t become available (less likely).

Scanning our timed entry Standby Pass into Emporio

Scanning our timed entry Standby Pass into Emporio

DisneySea Standby Pass – Shop timed entry – if required that day

Booking number 4 – book a time to visit a the Fantasy Springs Hotel gift store. This store stocks a large range of Fantasy Springs merchandise and you may need a booking to visit it. You can see how to book a Standby DisneySea store booking in our video here. If you don’t see it available under Standby then you either don’t need a booking that day, or all bookings have filled up. Bookings can be quite plentiful throughout the first half of the day but will eventually fill up.

Where else can I buy Fantasy Springs merchandise?

The DisneySea Emporio Store near the DisneySea entrance also stocks almost all Fantasy Springs merchandise available.

The Emporio Shop has a large range of Fantasy Springs merchandise

The DisneySea Emporio Shop also has a large range of Fantasy Springs merchandise

Bonus ride booking – DisneySea Priority Pass (not for Fantasy Springs)

Suggested booking number 5 – book a free DisneySea 40th Anniversary Priority ride pass for one of the other Disney Sea rides. You can find an example of how to book a Tokyo Disney Resort 40th Anniversary Priority ride pass in our video here.

This completes as many Fantasy Springs bookings as you can make for the moment – go and enjoy your day! But before you do, some notes to remember…

Keep checking the Tokyo Disney Resort app for rides you have missed when you are eligible to book more – rides often randomly pop up during the day – even Frozen!

    Is Fantasy Springs merchandise restricted?

Yes. you are only allowed to buy one of each Fantasy Springs souvenir (Emporio also has this rule, as do the restaurant souvenirs such as plates).
You may also not be allowed to re-enter the Fantasy Springs Gifts store once you have left.
These rules are regulated by Cast Members scanning your DisneySea ticket in the app.
