    Medicube

    Collagen Night Wrapping Mask

Features director Dianna Singh taking off the Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask

    Dianna Singh

An overnight mask that actually stays on your face, tosses and turns, and all? “The way my skin looks with a layer of Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask is exactly how I want my skin to look without it: glassy, glowy, and clear,” features director Dianna Singh says. For that, you can thank plumping hyaluronic acid, texture-smoothing niacinamide, and barrier-strengthening ceramide NP.

Commerce editor Sarah Han applying Rejuran Turnover Ampoule

    Sarah Han

PDRN is all the rage right now, and at the forefront of an influx of PDRN-infused K-beauty products is none other than Rejuran Turnover Ampoule, which is made by the same company behind Korea’s most popular PDRN injectable by the same name. “PDRN helps with tissue elasticity and hydration,” says New York City-based dermatologist David Kim, MD.

I’m gonna be real: I’m not one to get in-office treatments, so this serum is the next best thing—my skin looks and feels more hydrated immediately and in the long run. It’s super lightweight, silky, and almost has this grippiness that doubles well as a makeup primer. I’m obsessed.

    Medicube

    Age-R Booster Pro

Editor in chief Jessica Curel using the Medicube Age-R Booster Pro

    Jessica Cruel

“I must say: This is the most powerful device I have ever used,” says editor in chief Jessica Cruel. She tends to only use the Derma Shot and MC Modes for her skin prep routine—and the latter is her favorite for lymphatic drainage before a big event or live TV taping. “Setting three out of five had my muscles twitching (in a good way). I also like that it has a screen that tracks the time, so I don’t have to keep track of beeps. I find the user experience is better than many microcurrent devices I’ve used in the past.”

Han applying Peripera Ink Velvet Lip Tint

    Sarah Han

    Peripera

    Ink Velvet Lip Tint

These Best of Beauty-winning lip stains are incredibly affordable, come in a wide range of cute (and pigmented!) hues, and last the entire day—need I say more? Touch-ups are very minimal, even after heavy meals, and the wear is super comfortable, despite how long-lasting the formulas are. I prep my lips with a clear lip balm and wipe away the excess before applying the tint for added hydration—but if you’re looking for a glossier finish, I equally adore the Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tints (which don’t need balm prep, in my experience).

    Aestura

    Atobarrier 365 Lotion

Contributor Devon Abelman applying Aestura Atobarrier 365 Lotion

    Devon Abelman

Even if you have the most sensitive skin on Earth, Aestura’s Atobarrier 365 Lotion won’t cause irritation. It’s fragrance-free and only features skin-soothing ingredients such as ceramide NP and squalane. “This silky, milky formula absorbs at lightning speed and leaves my skin cashmere-soft,” says contributor Devon Abelman. “I appreciate that Aestura’s Atobarrier 365 Ceramide Lotion has a pump for quick, mess-free application.”

Han applying the Iope Retinol Bounce Super Serum

    Sarah Han

    Iope

    Retinol Super Bounce Serum

In my humble opinion, Iope’s retinols are unmatched in the K-beauty world. I alternate between the Best of Beauty-winning Retinol Expert and Retinol Bounce—the latter when my skin needs a hydrating boost. Retinol Bounce, which has pure retinol, encapsulated retinol, and granactive retinoid, melts into my skin, and my complexion is noticeably plumper after the fact. My moisturizer absorbs better, too. Chef’s kiss.

    Dr. Althea

    Vitamin C Boosting Serum

Devon Abelman applying Dr.Althea Vitamin C Boosting Serum

    Devon Abelman

A vitamin C serum that doesn’t smell like garbage stewing on a hot summer day? Meet Dr. Althea’s Vitamin C Boosting Serum. “Even though it’s fragrance-free, I think Dr. Althea’s Vitamin C Boosting Serum smells like freshly squeezed Florida orange juice—pulp and all,” contributor Devon Abelman says. “Scent aside, I love how dynamic this formula is. It covers all the bases for achieving the healthy skin of your dreams: brightening, hydrating, smoothing, and healing. Texture-wise, it’s viscous and almost gel-like without feeling sticky.”

Christa Joanna Lee applying Round Lab Birch Moisturizing Sunscreen UVLock SPF 45+

    Christa Joanna Lee

    Round Lab

Birch Moisturizing Sunscreen UVLock SPF 45+

If this packaging looks familiar, yes, this is the FDA-approved version of the Round Lab Sunscreen that flooded our TikTok FYPs. While it has a slightly different name, Birch Moisturizing Sunscreen UVLock SPF 45+, this chemical, quick-absorbing formula lives up to its predecessor’s hype. “It disappears instantly, makes my skin feel hydrated thanks to the birch sap, and honestly, my only complaint is that it doesn’t come in a jumbo bottle so I can slather it everywhere,” contributor Christa Joanna Lee shares.

    Koolsol by Knours

Ultra-Light Invisible Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50

Han applying the Koolsol by Knours Ultra-Light Invisible Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50

    Sarah Han

Big news: As a chemical sunscreen stan, I have never met a Korean mineral sunscreen—or any mineral sunscreen, especially untinted—that has this close to the feel of a chemical sunscreen. I only notice the teeniest tinge of cast in real life, but I honestly don’t think an observer would. (At least my boyfriend, who stares at my face quite a lot, couldn’t tell!) It applies so elegantly, like a lightweight moisturizer—hi, cica, snow mushroom, aloe, and niacinamide—and leaves my skin looking dewy, but not overly so.

Senior news editor Nicola Dall’Asen applying the Ma:nyo Pure Cleansing Oil

    Nicola Dall’Asen

    Manyo Factory

    Pure Cleansing Oil

“Oil cleansing for a few minutes every single night has taken my skin from good to great, and Man:yo’s Pure Cleansing Oil has been my go-to,” says Allure senior news editor Nicola Dall’Asen. “When my pores are particularly clogged, I can physically feel the sebum and dirt coming out after rubbing a couple of pumps of this gentle formula into my skin. It’s the only reason my facialists are always telling me there’s no need for extractions.

    Beauty of Joseon

    Red Bean Water Gel

Han applying Beauty of Joseon’s Red Bean Water Gel

    Sarah Han

Beauty of Joseon’s Red Bean Water Gel is one of my all-time favorite Korean moisturizers, and I truly recommend it for combination and oily skin in particular. It’s so lightweight but packs a serious punch of hydration, and the gel texture gives my skin an immediate cooling and calming effect every morning.

Best Amazon Prime Day Korean Skin-Care Deals

    Han applying Mixsoon Bean Essence

    Sarah Han

Mixsoon’s Bean Essence is beloved for good reason. It provides a delightful balance of hydration and very gentle exfoliation that’s ideal for makeup prep and nighttime soothing alike. “I love using the Mixsoon Bean Essence as my serum step because it offers great hydration and skin-plumping benefits,” Sarah Lee, Glow Recipe co-founder, shared. I have to agree: Not only is the texture so fun to play with, but this essence is exactly what my skin needs when it’s feeling inflamed and parched.

    Dr. Althea

    Pure Grinding Cleansing Balm

Sarah Hoffmann applying the Dr. Althea Pure Grinding Cleansing Balm

    Sarah Hoffmann

“My main metric for cleansing balms is how easily they remove makeup (specifically eye makeup) and how soft my skin feels afterwards,” says commerce producer Sarah Hoffmann. “Dr. Althea’s Pure Grinding Cleansing Balm checks both of those boxes. The formula emulsifies so well and melts mascara, eyeliner, and the rest off like a total dream.”

    Numbuzin

    No. 5+ Vitamin Glutathione Ampoule

When a K-beauty founder loves a serum, we love said serum. “Glutathione [a combination of amino acids glycine, cysteine, and glutamic acid] has gained a lot of popularity in K-beauty for targeting blemish scars and hyperpigmentation,” says Yanghee Paik, cofounder of Rael Beauty. Paired with vitamin C, niacinamide, and tranexamic acid, this serum works wonders for a clearer complexion.

    Purcell

24/7 Colostrum Pore Defence Ampoule Mist

K-pop idols including Blackpink’s Rosé and Aespa’s Giselle have been spotted carrying this unassuming face mist, so naturally, we’re scooping up one for ourselves. It’s packed with hyaluronic acid, colostrum, and probiotic ferments to refresh your skin, and it works well before and after makeup. Mist away!

Han applying Etude SoonJung pH 6.5 Whip Facial Cleanser

    Sarah Han

    Etude House

    SoonJung pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser

The key point of Etude’s SoonJung pH 6.5 Whip Facial Cleanser is that it’s made with a low pH of 6.5—which is less likely to disrupt your natural barrier function—and features soothing ingredients like madecassoside and panthenol to keep skin happy. Even before I tried this cleansing foam out for myself, I saw a lot of hype on social media coming from people of all different skin types. This airy foam is so satisfying to use, and I love how gentle it is—it is, after all, fragrance-free—especially after I’ve gone to town breaking down my makeup with a cleansing balm or oil.

    Cosrx

Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

Han applying the Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

    Sarah Han

We adore Cosrx’s Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence because it helps brighten our complexions and enhances the absorption of our subsequent heavy-hitters, such as our expensive serums and creams. It’s simple math, really.

    Mediheal

    Madecassoside Toner Pads

Toner pads are a quick ‘n’ easy way to deliver actives into your skin—and make sure every last stubborn ounce of dirt and makeup is off your face. Mediheal has a wide range of toner pads for just about every skin-care concern, but we especially like these madecassoside-soaked formulas to calm inflammation and heal dark spots.

    Belif

    Aqua Bomb Cooling Eye Gel

Wake up, undereyes. Similarly to the Aqua Bomb moisturizers we’ve loved for years, Belif’s Aqua Bomb Cooling Eye Gel instantly refreshes, depuffs, and brightens, thanks to powerhouses like caffeine, HA, niacinamide, vitamin C, and collagen. The ceramic tip and lightweight gel is an elite combo, if you ask us.

    Wellage

    Real Hyaluronic Blue Ampoule 100

Abelman applying the Wellage Real Hyaluronic Blue Ampoule 100

    Devon Abelman

TWellage’s Real Hyaluronic Blue Ampoule is formulated with nine forms of hyaluronic acid to mimic the form naturally found in our skin to deeply hydrate and plump skin for hours. “It feels just as instantly replenishing and intensely hydrating as taking a big gulp of Gatorade when you’re dehydrated or under the weather,” says Abelman. “On days when my acne-prone skin feels sensitized or inflamed, I love putting on several layers to load it up with ultra-soothing nourishment. No matter how much I put on, though, it always leaves my skin bouncier and glossier.”

Han applying Anua Zero-Cast Moisturizing Finish Sunscreen SPF 50

    Sarah Han

    Anua

Zero-Cast Moisturizing Finish Sunscreen SPF 50

Like almost all Korean chemical sunscreens, Anua’s Zero-Cast Moisturizing Finish Sunscreen SPF 50 is a dream for anyone with dry skin. Since I have combo skin, I find that I can usually skip moisturizer and go straight into this sunscreen, which is infused with the usual but oh-so-good suspects like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, panthenol, and niacinamide. It makes my skin look so fresh and radiant! Plus, the cap doubles as a dosage tool to make sure you’re applying enough for your face. (I opt for two hefty finger lengths, which also works!)

    Manyo Factory

    Galac Niacin 2.0 Essence

Ang Trakoshis applying Galac Niacin 2.0 Essence

    Ang Trakoshis

Manyo’s Galac Niacin 2.0 Essence is a dream for oily or acne-prone skin because it’s infused with oil-balancing galactomyces fermentation filtrate and dark-spot-brightening niacinamide. Take it from shopping market editor Ang Trakoshis. “I keep this in my on-the-go skin-care bag because it’s loaded with niacinamide to even tone and panthenol to calm—two things my skin needs after a long day of travel,” she says.

    Round Lab

    1025 Dokdo Toner

If you haven’t tried a Korean toner, make Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner your first—or, even if you have tried one, you won’t regret adding this one to cart. There’s a wonderful blend of gently-exfoliating, hydrating, and soothing ingredients (like hatching ex-07, deep sea water, panthenol, and allantoin) that simply won’t irritate your skin.

“I know my skin is going to slurp this toner up every time I reach for it without residual stickiness, discomfort, or heaviness,” Abelman says. “Plus, it’s formulated without essential oils and fragrances, which is key for maintaining happy, healthy skin.”

    Celimax

    Noni Energy Ampoule

Celimax’s Noni Energy Ampoule is making the rounds on TikTok, and we get why. This serum is great for all skin types, even sensitive and acne-prone, because it cuts out any potential heavy, pore-clogging ingredients. In terms of what it does include, there’s, of course, noni fruit extract and noni seed oil, which reduces inflammation and regulates sebum production. Adding to the goodness is panthenol and vegan collagen to plump and moisturize skin. Dewy dumpling status, achieved.

    VT Cosmetics

    Reedle Shot 100

Scared of microneedling? Same, and lots of people probably feel the same way, because VT Cosmetics’ Reedle Shot has been flying off the virtual shelves for months. It definitely tingles, but I think the 100 level is a good place to start—and, if you’re extra nervous, they also offer a 50 level. Despite the intense-sounding name, these spicules are infused with two soothing ingredients we know and love dearly: cica and hyaluronic acid.

To tamper any sensitivity, apply toner or essence after cleansing and before you go in with this.

    Medicube

    Hypochlorous Acid Daily Face Spray

K-beauty has officially jumped on the hypochlorous acid spray train. Meet Medicube’s take on the buzzy ingredient—which kills bacteria, reduces inflammation, and helps prevent acne— paired with 2% niacinamide to improve texture, as well as panthenol and allantoin for soothing hydration.

Han applying the Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm

    Sarah Han

    Then I Met You

    Living Cleansing Balm

This is the G.O.A.T. of cleansing balms, as far as I’m concerned. It breaks down my toughest makeup without irritating my eyes, leaves my skin feeling nourished post-rinse, and each sea buckthorn- and persimmon-infused scoop (the reason the balm is yellow!) smells divine—so much so, that other cleansing balms that smell waxy are an immediate turnoff.

    Illiyoon

    Ceramide Ato Soothing Gel

If you find traditional face creams a bit too heavy, I can’t recommend enough Illiyoon’s Ceramide Ato Soothing Gel, which absorbs in what feeles like no time at all. The moisture—powered by glycerin and squalane—sticks around, however. And like most Illiyoon products, this fragrance-free, sensitive-skin-friendly formula is even safe to use on babies and kiddos.

    Abib

    Airy Sunstick

When applied properly (four passes back and forth on each area of application, as derms recommend), sunscreen sticks are a quick, mess-free way to get UV protection—especially when reapplying throughout the day. The highlight of Abib’s Airy Sunstick is its curved applicator, which gets into each nook and cranny of your face (especially around your nose) without breaking a sweat. Speaking of sweat, this compact SPF is sweat- and water-resistant for up to 80 minutes. Despites a boatload of hydrating ingredients including ceramides ,peptides, ectoin, and sunflower seed oil, it leaves behind a semi-matte finish that doesn’t emphasize shine.

Han applying Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum

    Sarah Han

    Beauty of Joseon

    Revive Eye Serum

Beauty of Joseon’s Revive Eye Serum is one of the most cost-effective eye treatments on the market. “I love the ultra-nourishing and soothing formula with the added (gentle) kick of retinal,” says cosmetic chemist Ramón Pagán. The anti-inflammatory properties of ginseng help minimize puffiness, while liposome-encapsulated retinal (a less-irritating form of retinol) brightens and smooths. I’m not easily convinced eye creams do much, but this custardy formula absorbs almost immediately and, more importantly, makes my undereyes look refreshed and slightly brighter.

    TonyMoly

    I’m Rice Exfoliating Enzyme Cleanser

This water-activated TonyMoly powder cleanser can be used in two ways: either as a traditional exfoliating cleanser, or as a 10-minute brightening mask. Superfine rice powder and papain enzymes do the heavy lifting in terms of buffing away dead skin cells, while cica and glycerin lock in moisture and strengthen your barrier. Best of all? So TSA-friendly.

    Medicube

    Zero Pore Pads

The power of Medicube’s Zero Pore Pads can’t be underestimated. Each round is drenched in 0.45% white willow bark (a.k.a. BHA) to clear blackheads and minimize the look of pores, 4.5% citric acid to smooth uneven texture, and cypress tree leaf and skullcap to curb sebum production. If you have more sensitive skin, I recommend the Zero Pore Pad Mild, which employs PHA, the gentlest acid.

    Biodance

    Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask

You’ve seen it all over social media—if you haven’t already, it’s high time you try out Biodance’s Bio Collagen Real Deep Mask, which plumps skin with ultra-low molecular collagen and oligo-hyaluronic acid. “When I wake up, my skin is so hydrated and smooth that it literally looks like glass—and that’s just one night,” says Trakoshis. “After using this mask for a week, my skin feels firmer, looks brighter, and is so hydrated—like my face went on a retreat and came back dewy, healthy, and refreshed.”

    Abib

    Mild Acidic pH Sheet Mask

If you’re looking for a sheet mask that doesn’t require three-hour-minimum wear time, might I suggest Abib’s Mild Acidic pH Sheet Mask? This lightweight mask is made out of egg whites and bamboo for maximum absorption, and is clock-full of heartleaf to soothe inflamation, sweep away dead skin cells, and curb excess sebum.

    Fully

    Green Tomato Clay Mask Cleanser

It’s a tomato girl summer, y’all, and what better way to get in the fun than Fully’s Green Tomato Clay Mask Cleanser? Packed with 49% green tomato extract, glycerin, a six-clay complex (that includes kaolin bentonite), and cica, this cleanser-mask hybrid clears pores and sweeps away blackheads while also soothing skin. Wear it as a mask for two to five minutes before washing it off for a deeper cleanse than what your typical cleanser provides.

    Banobagi

    Rejuvenating Vital Eye Cream

Lightweight eye creams are an obsession of ours, and Banobagi’s Rejuvenating Vital Eye Cream not only absorbs quickly, but it also has the ingredients that refresh and hydrate our delicate undereyes. If you didn’t know: We’re talking PDRN, edelweiss callus extract, mango seed butter, panthenol, and cica. Name another under-$30 (and under $15 right now!) eye cream that works as hard for the price…we’ll wait.

Best Amazon Prime Day Korean Makeup Deals

    House of Hur

    Moist Ampoule Blusher

Han applying House of Hur Moist Ampoule Blusher in 07 Pink Rosie

    Sarah Han

This stuff is the pigmented blush of my dreams, meaning you truly only need the tiniest amount of product for a full-out flush (a.k.a. my preference). Not only is House of Hur’s Moist Ampoule Blusher packed with glycerin and apricot fruit extract for a hydrating finish, it’s so easy to blend out, whether you go in with your fingers (remember, a very light touch!) or a brush to really diffuse the product. It makes my cheeks so juicy and plump—what more can I want?

Han applying Amuse Seoul Jel-Fit Tint in Seoul Girl

    Sarah Han

Like the House of Hur blush, I bought my first Amuse lip tint during a recent trip to Seoul. Even though it’s a bit sheerer than my typical choice of lip tint, I find no fault in its incredibly hydrating, glossy finish. I’m not into traditional lip glosses, so the fact that this gives me sheen without feeling sticky at all is amazing. I want at least one, if not two more!

    Colorgram

    Milk Bling Shadow

I always get compliments when I wear this glitter shadow, specifically along my lower lashline (usually concentrated around the inner corner, extending a bit into the center). It’s so affordable (even when not on sale) and you only need the tinest bit for perceptible impact. Such a gorgeous finishing touch to any makeup look, trust.

    Rom&nd

    Better Than Cheek

Powder blushes are making a comeback. Unlike the chalky formulas of past years, Romn&d’s Better Than Cheek leaves behind a soft-matte, texture-blurring finish in super-wearable hues.

Han applying Clio The Original Kill Cover Founwear Cushion in 23N Ginger

    Sarah Han

    Clio

The Original Kill Cover Founwear Cushion

Can you sense a pattern? I picked up this Clio cushion foundation in shade 23N Ginger during the aforementioned Asia vacation a few months ago, so it’s a tad too light for my complexion right now, but I’m still very much into the dewy finish and buildable coverage. Then, I found out that Clio has expanded its shade range (to 20 total shades) after I had arrived back home. Where was my call, Clio? Just kidding. Anyway, if you’re into the dewy-dumpling look, this compact is for you. While it emphasizes my shine a bit too much for my liking upon application (as you see in the after photo), it’s nothing a bit of setting powder can’t fix.

    Fwee

Glowy Jelly Pot + Keychain Set

Annie Blackman applying the Fwee Glowy Jelly Pot

    Annie Blackman

In this sweet duo, you’ll get a full-size Fwee Glowy Jelly Pot—a bouncy lip and cheek tint—and a keychain version, which features a tiny portion of the product, and looks so cute as a bag charm.

    Tirtir

    Mask Fit Make Up Fixer

Locking down our makeup amid the melty summer heat is an absolute must, and Tirtir’s Mask Fit Make Up Fixer is one of the good ones. The formula contains green apple polyphenols and cica for added hydration. “I still get a glowy finish but the sebum-regulation properties keep the pores along my T-zone in check and prevent my makeup from settling into them throughout the day,” Han attests.

    Laneige

    Neo-Blurring Powder

Laneige’s Neo-Blurring Powder is sleek as can be, and designed with ease of use in mind. When you gently press down with the included puff, a nifty silicone mesh barrier releases just enough powder—while also keeping product in and avoiding unnecessary spills. The powder is super, super fine and feels weightless on the skin, plus, it’s spiked with a bit of Laneige’s signature Blue Hyaluronic Acid for a smooth, non-cakey finish.

    Best Korean Hair-Care Deals

    Dr. Groot

    Hair Thickening Shampoo

Dr. Groot specializes in scalp care, so you best believe its Hair Thickening Shampoo is going to treat your roots right. Biotin, rosemary and caffeine help stimulate hair growth and promote volume for thinning hair. Bonus: The shampoo smells citrusy and scrumptious.

    Unove

    Deep Damage Hair Treatment Mask

Unove’s Deep Damage Hair Treatment Mask is a big help for damaged hair, using silky keratin-PF and 31 collagen, amino acids, and plant extracts to tackle roughness and frizziness.

Han applying Mise En Scene Perfect Serum

    Sarah Han

    Mise en Scene

    Perfect Serum Original

Han before applying Mise En Scene Perfect Serum

    Sarah Han

Han after applying Mise En Scene Perfect Serum + styling

    Sarah Han

Hair oils have a reputation for feeling heavy, especially on fine hair, but Mise En Scene’s Hair Serum does nothing of the sort. My hair, despite only having a bit of bend, gives way to a ton of flyaways every time I blow-dry or air-dry. Perhaps I’m not skilled enough with my blow-dryers, but this serum, which has a boatload of oils—most notably, golden Moroccan argan oil—tamed my frizz and flyaways as best as a post-wash product ever has, which is very high praise.

    Elizavecca

CER-100 Collagen Ceramide Coating Protein Treatment

Abelman applying the Elizavecca CER-100 Collagen Ceramide Coating Protein Treatment

    Devon Abelman

A dream for damaged hair, Elizavecca CER-100 Collagen Ceramide Coating Protein Treatment. Whether your hair has been fried from hot tools or color treatments, this treatment coats every strand using ceramide 3 and collagen. “After shampooing, I saturated my hair in this protein treatment, and it effortlessly unraveled every knot in about a minute flat,” says contributor Devon Abelman, who colors her hair every month. “I rinsed it out after about three minutes, and my hair felt like cashmere.”

    Aromatica

    Rosemary Root Enhancer

Aromatica’s Rosemary Root Enhancer is a breath of fresh air for your scalp, promoting healthy growth and a balanced biome to combat buildup and dandruff. Bonus points for the gentle, herbal scent.

    Dr. ForHair

    Folligen Tonic

An leave-in treatment that revitalizes and balances your scalp? Yep, that’s Dr.ForHair’s Folligen Tonic, which is jam-packed with biotin, saw palmetto extract, and ceramide NP to strenthen your barrier, and over time, help encourage healthy, thicker growth.
