Job description: Nature and Scope

Reporting to the Corporate Tax Manager, the Tax Accountant prepares federal, state and local tax returns and related workpapers. The Tax Accountant also participates in ASC 740 income tax accounting, tax audits, protests and appeals, and other tax related projects and research. The Tax Accountant works under supervision and has some contact with external regulatory authorities and internal accounting personnel.

Specific Job Duties

  • Assists in the preparation of federal, state and local tax returns.
  • Performs basic tax research and planning.
  • Estimates federal, state and local payments based on projections.
  • Assists with various tax planning and research projects.
  • Assists with ongoing projects such as relocation tax calculations.
  • Assists with tax audits.
  • Assists with ASC 740 income tax accounting.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting


  • 2-4 years tax experience
  • Demonstrated work experience with federal tax
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word
  • CPA preferred
