Project

Cryopreservation of embryos and semen of sheep and goats for the genetic improvement of non-descript breeds to improve farmers’ livelihood.

Profile

This recruitment is subject to terms and conditions in force in ICAR for such appointments. (1) There is no provision of absorption/re-employment in NIANP/ICAR after termination of the project. The service of the persons so engaged will automatically stand terminated with the termination of the project, (2) The employment is purely on temporary basis and liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof, (3) The candidates will not be paid any TA/DA and will have to make their own arrangement for travel, stay etc. to attend the interview, (4) Shortlisted candidates attending the interview should bring one set of xerox documents and all the originals for verification purpose, (5) Canvassing in any form will be disqualification of the candidature.

Duration

Up to August, 2025 or completion of the project whichever is earlier.

Money

Rs. 31,000.00/month + HRA for the first and second year.

Rs. 35,000.00/month + HRA for the third year as per ICAR guidelines.

*HRA will be given if accommodation is not provided.

Qualifications

Master degree in Animal Physiology/Animal Reproduction/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Bioinformatics/ Genetics/ Animal Science(s) with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s Degree.

Or

Post-graduate degree (3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree) in Life Sciences with NET/GATE qualifications as mentioned in ICAR OM No. Ag. Edn./6/27/20l4/ HRD dated 30th July 2019.

Experience

The selected candidate has to carry out routine embryo culture work, molecular biology techniques, various bioinformatics and statistical analyses of data etc. Thus, candidate having expertise in the above area will be preferred. The proof of experience in the form of research articles/publications need to be submitted.
