The history between both men builds their matches on its own. Both men do not need a title to raise the stakes for their matches, and their chemistry has proved to be unmatchable as well. While both men have battled in gauntlet matches, Elimination Chamber matches, triple threat matches, and more, let’s check out every singles match both men have had.

#9. RAW [September 2014] – Roman Reigns Won

Their first singles clash between the two titans came shortly after The Shield’s breakup. Rollins tried using his cunning and speed to take down Reigns, but The Big Dog overpowered him with his signature strength.

Despite Rollins’ attempts to use some interferences and mind games, Reigns managed to deliver a spear and pin the Architect in their first match together.

#8. RAW [December 2014] – Roman Reigns Won

Rollins tried to settle the score with Reigns in another battle on the red brand, but ended up with a loss yet again. The match ended in chaos when Big Show interfered, attacking Reigns and causing a disqualification.

Though the win went to Reigns on paper, Rollins managed to escape with the last laugh, keeping the rivalry burning without giving away a clean finish.

#7. RAW [March 2015] – Seth Rollins Won

Seth Rollins got his first singles victory over Roman Reigns on RAW in early 2015. With J&J Security at ringside, Rollins used every trick in the book to gain the upper hand. Despite Reigns dominating much of the match, an interference distracted him and enabled Rollins to use a surprise roll-up and pick up his first victory against his former Shield brother.

#6. SmackDown [July 2015] – Roman Reigns Won

The fourth singles encounter between the two stars took place amid their ongoing rivalry for the top spot in the company. Seth Rollins, as the newly crowned WWE Champion, found himself battling his former Shield brother yet again.

While the match ended in a disqualification after J&J Security interfered to save Rollins from another loss, the Architect was able to walk off with the last laugh yet again.

#5. Money in the Bank 2016 – Seth Rollins Won

After numerous singles matches against each other, the first time Rollins vs Reigns had a title involved was at Money in the Bank. The Architect managed to pin Reigns clean this time around, winning the WWE Championship and leaving his Shield brother bruised up in the ring.

The match is undoubtedly one of the best matches between the two stars and will always be considered as the beginning of Rollins’ run as one of the biggest stars in the industry.

    #4. RAW [June 2016] – Double Countout

The night after Money in the Bank, Rollins and Reigns faced off again to determine the No. 1 contender for Dean Ambrose’s new WWE Title, after the letter had cashed in his MITB contract to become the new champion. The fight quickly turned into a brawl rather than a technical contest. Both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins crashed through the announce table, leading to a double countout, marking the first singles match between both men having no definite result.

#3. RAW [May 2017] – Roman Reigns Won

With both Reigns and Rollins trying to enhance their characters and turn into the main event scene, their clash in 2017 was an important one as well. The two delivered an intense match, full of counters and near falls, and in the closing moments, Rollins missed a Frog Splash, allowing Reigns to hit a sudden Spear for the victory.

#2. SmackDown [October 2019] – Seth Rollins Won

With the 2019 WWE Draft looming, both Rollins and Reigns battled to determine brand supremacy, with the winner set to determine the brand to make the first pick in the Draft. Rollins faced Reigns in a heated contest that ended controversially. The Fiend appeared from underneath the ring and attacked Rollins mid-match, forcing a disqualification win for the Universal champion (then).

#1. Royal Rumble 2022 – Seth Rollins Won

One of the most talked-about and recent singles clashes between Rollins and Reigns came at Royal Rumble 2022 for the Universal Championship. Rollins entered mind games territory, wearing The Shield’s gear and entering to their old theme to take a rent-free place in Reigns’ head, which turned out to be an incredible move from the Visionary.

While Roman Reigns tried to defend his spot as the Tribal Chief, he couldn’t end the match with his mind under control. Rather, the ending moments of the match featured the Big Dog completely out of control, using a steel chair to define the result, ending with Rollins winning due to disqualification.

It would be quite interesting to see when Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns battle against each other in a single match once again.
