Hi friends! I’ve got a new try-on haul for you today with late summer and early fall finds from Varley, LOFT, and EVEREVE! I found a lot of wins in this batch, but please remember, shopping is literally my job. So it may seem excessive when I keep so many things, but keeping my wardrobe updated with a variety of current pieces to style is how I keep my posts fresh and give you plenty of ideas and inspiration for your own closet. Let’s dive in!
SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and I usually wear a small or medium in tops and dresses, a 29 or 30 in jeans and pants, and a size 8 shoe. Gifted items are indicated by c/o; everything else I purchased myself.
EVEREVE Fitting Room Try-Ons
I stopped into EVEREVE last week, and a few of the items I tried weren’t online when I posted last week’s Try-On Haul, so I’m including them here.
EVEREVE Aiden V-Neck Vest
at EVEREVE (M) // KUT from the Kloth Meg (6) // Loeffler Randall jelly sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Update your summer sweater collection with the Aiden V-Neck Vest by EVEREVE, featuring a v-neckline, cap sleeves, and a slightly cropped silhouette.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 19″
- Material: 60% Cotton, 40% Acrylic Knit
- Care: Machine Wash, Wash Cold, Dry Flat
MY THOUGHTS: This was the first piece I pulled off the rack when we walked into the store, and I was immediately drawn to the color palette—especially with these light wash jeans. It’s definitely on the shorter side at 20 1/4″, but that’s the style. It’s designed to “kiss” the waistband of your jeans. I sized up to a medium for a little extra length and some wiggle room through the middle.

VERDICT: This one came home with me, and I’ve already worn it once, although I paired it with higher rise jeans so it overlaps the waistband instead of hitting right at the top. It just feels more comfortable that way.

EVEREVE Zuri Sleeveless Henley Sweatshirt
at EVEREVE (M) // KUT from the Kloth Meg (6) // Loeffler Randall jelly sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Perfect for all your weekend activities, the Zuri Sweatshirt by EVEREVE features a henley neckline, short sleeves, rib detailing, and a slightly cropped silhouette.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 20″
- Material: 85% Cotton, 15% Polyester
- Care: Machine Wash, Wash Cold, Dry Flat
MY THOUGHTS: This sweatshirt “spoke” to me the instant I saw it on the rack, and it didn’t disappoint in the fitting room. I love the berry color—it’s not something we’re seeing a lot of right now, but it flatters my coloring and pairs beautifully with blue jeans. The short-sleeve sweatshirt style with the henley neckline is perfect for my casual lifestyle, and while a banded waist isn’t usually my favorite, it works here.

VERDICT: I bought this one too, and I’ve already worn it! In this case, I styled it with these same jeans—which, by the way, are part of the 15% off EVEREVE Jeans Sale.

Z Supply Sleeveless Sweatshirt Vest
at EVEREVE (M) // KUT from the Kloth Meg (6) // Loeffler Randall Dana Strappy Jelly Sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: The perfect blend of comfort and style, this sleeveless sweatshirt by Z Supply features a cropped crewneck silhouette, uneven hem, and ribbed trim.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 21″
- Material: 60% Cotton, 40% Polyester Knit
- Care: Machine Wash, Hang To Dry, Iron Low
MY THOUGHTS: This one didn’t wow me. I like the idea of a sleeveless sweatshirt, and grey marl is one of my favorite colors, but the fit just isn’t great on me, and the uneven hem kind of bugs me, lol.

VERDICT: Needless to say, this one stayed in the store.

EVEREVE Hadley Henley Tank
at EVEREVE (M) // Frank and Eileen trouser jeans (29) // Loeffler Randall jelly sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Top off your knitwear collection with the Hadley sweater tank by EVEREVE. This sleeveless cotton sweater features a collared henley neckline, cropped fit, and rib knit trim.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 20″
- Material: 100% Cotton Knit
- Care: Machine Wash Cold, Dry Flat
MY THOUGHTS: I have a similar sweater tank, but it tends to grow on me as I wear it. I thought I might like this one better, but the band at the hem seems to accentuate to the fluffy belly/hip area, and collars always bug me.

VERDICT: I decided to leave this one in the store and wash and dry the Florence Tank and see if it would take up a bit.

LA Made City Nights Muscle Tank
at EVEREVE (M) // Frank and Eileen trouser jeans (29) // Loeffler Randall Dana Strappy Jelly Sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A satin finish elevates the City Nights Muscle Tank by LA Made, featuring a crew neckline, contrasting rib knit details, and a classic fit.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 22″
- Material: Self: 47% Viscose, 53% Rayon Contrast Ribbing: 95% Rayon, 5% Spandex
- Care: Machine Wash Cold, Gentle Cycle, Dry Flat, Do Not Bleach
MY THOUGHTS: This is a fun little satin top that comes in several pretty colors, and I love the contrast knit trim. The cut and fit are great, but the hemline lays a bit oddly (maybe it just needs a steam?), and the fabric creates an unflattering look across the chest—almost like a uniboob. I also suspect it would wrinkle badly after sitting for any length of time. It’s a shame, because the color options are gorgeous.

VERDICT: I didn’t purchase this one.

Bevan Crew Neck Sweater
at EVEREVE (S) // Frank and Eileen trouser jeans (29) // Loeffler Randall jelly sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Gold shoulder buttons add a chic touch to the Bevan Sweater by EVEREVE, featuring a crew neckline, a soft knit fabric, and a relaxed, sleeveless silhouette.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 20″
- Material: 50% Viscose, 30% Polyester, 20% Nylon Knit
- Care: Machine Wash Cold, Gentle Cycle, Dry Flat, Do Not Bleach
MY THOUGHTS: I was so excited to find this little sweater vest—it’s totally me. I knew instantly it would be coming home with me. The rayon/poly blend knit is soft yet substantial, the kind that keeps its shape and won’t stretch out as you wear it. The button detail on the shoulders is subtle but still sets it apart from a plain sweater tank. I also love the fitted cut—it skims my curves without being so body-con that I’d only feel comfortable wearing it on a “skinny day” (I’m sure you know what I mean).

VERDICT: I love this, and I’m not sure why I haven’t worn it yet. It reads a bit dressier to me and it’s been a super casual week around here.

Eden Button Front Sweater
at EVEREVE (M) // Frank and Eileen trouser jeans (29) // Loeffler Randall jelly sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Perfect for work to weekend, the Eden Sweater by EVEREVE features gold front button closures, short sleeves, and rib knit details.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 23″
- Material: 75% Rayon, 25% Nylon Knit
- Care: Hand Wash Cold, Dry Flat, Do Not Bleach
MY THOUGHTS: And this one was another winner—like I said at the top of the post, there were a lot of hits in this batch! The tight-weave rayon/nylon blend knit has a nice weight to it, and I love the cutaway hemline. It gives a subtle nod to the longer suit vest trend, but with sleeves for those who prefer a bit of arm coverage.
The rich brown shade is beautiful, and the gold buttons add just enough polish to dress it up. Because of the longer length, I think it will pair best with full-length jeans and a heel.

VERDICT: I bought this one as well! I think I’m pretty well set for short-sleeve transitional tops. When the calendar flips to September, I’ll be weeding out some of my lighter ones, but these four I picked up at EVEREVE last week will definitely be staying in my fall closet. I like that they’re all a little different.
Style Tip: When you have a simple style, as I do, and wear a lot of jeans-and-top combos, having a variety of tops in different colors with subtle details is key to avoiding a “same outfit every day” look. The same goes for denim—when you wear jeans daily, mixing up your silhouettes and washes helps keep things fresh.

MOTHER The Half-Pipe Ankle
at EVEREVE (30) // ribbed sweater (M) // Splendid Mary Janes (8) // henley sweatshirt (M) // VEJA Esplar (39)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A curved wide leg creates the chic silhouette of The Half-Pipe barrel jean by MOTHER, featuring a high-rise waist, ankle-length hems, and rigid cotton denim in a light blue wash.
- Front Rise: 12″
- Inseam Length: 27 1/2″
- Leg Opening: 19″
- Material: 100% Cotton Denim
- Care: Wash Cold, Hang To Dry
MY THOUGHTS: Speaking of different denim styles, I ordered this pair with the subtle barrel-leg silhouette from EVEREVE online. I’m still trying to find a pair I truly love, and MOTHER rarely steers me wrong, but I’m on the fence with these.
They’re quite snug in the waist in the size 30, but I don’t think I’d want to size up elsewhere. I like the wash, but they’re a tad long with sneakers; I’d prefer to see more ankle, and I’m not sure I want to deal with hemming them. Maybe they’ll shrink a bit in the wash? They look okay with the Mary Janes, but even then, I’d like them about an inch shorter.

They’re also 100% cotton, so they feel a bit stiff, although that could mean they’ll stretch out over time. Still… that’s a lot of caveats for a pricey pair of jeans.
VERDICT: I don’t think these will be keepers, but I really wanted to like them. They are 15% off right now, though, so if you’re curious to try them, now’s a good time!

Varley Transitional Picks
Varley offered to send me a few of their new pieces to try, and they’re perfect for travel, lounging, or just elevating your everyday casual looks.
Varley Davidson Sweat in Olive Marl
at Varley c/o (S) // Varley The Wide Leg Pant c/o (M) // AllSaints Underground Sneakers (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Subtly cropped for versatile styling, the Davidson sweat is an essential layering piece. Made in our lightweight DoubleSoft® fabric, this cropped style is complete with dropped shoulders and deep cuffs. The epitome of laid-back luxury, pair this contemporary top layer with coordinating sweatpants.
- The Davidson is cut for a relaxed, subtly cropped fit.
- Front Length: 22″. Sleeve Length: 21.6″.
- Content: 72% Viscose, 23% Polyester 5% Elastane
- Care: Machine wash cool, Do not bleach, Do not tumble dry, Iron on low setting.
MY THOUGHTS: The fabric on these pieces is so luxe, soft yet substantial, and I really like the neckline on this one. Traditional fold-over collars tend to bug me, and the larger split-neck styles can add bulk where I don’t need it. This one has cleaner lines while still giving a collared look, and the zipper detail is a nice touch.

I also like the shorter length that doesn’t quite look cropped, and the relaxed fit offers just enough slouch without looking sloppy. The size small fits just right.
THE VERDICT: Excited to keep this and wear it this fall!

Varley The Wide Leg Pant 30″ in Olive Marl
at Varley c/o (M) // sweatshirt c/o (S) // AllSaints sneakers (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Experience unmatched comfort and style in these DoubleSoft® pants. Featuring a high-rise waist, wide-leg silhouette, elasticated waist with internal drawcord, and elegant pink tuck detailing, they’re a versatile wardrobe essential.
- The Wide-Leg Pant is cut for a relaxed fit.
- Front Rise: 11.5″. Inseam: 30″.
- Material: 81% Viscose 15% Polyester 4% Elastane
- Care: Machine wash cool, Do not bleach, Do not tumble dry, Iron on low setting.
MY THOUGHTS: I like these pants quite a lot. They have an easy shape, the pin tuck detail gives them a polished look, and the full-length style is flattering and easy to wear as we head into fall.
They do have a very high rise, though. In my first photos, I noticed some bagging in the crotch area, and when I pulled the waistband up to my natural waist (which is quite high), they fit and draped better. I ordered the medium for extra room in the hips, and they fit well there, but I may be able to get away with a small, and that might make them feel a bit less high.
THE VERDICT: I really like these, but I’m curious if the size small would be more comfortable and still look okay. I may order them to compare, because this set would make the perfect travel look for my overnight flight to Iceland next month!

LOFT Pieces to Wear Now & Into Fall
I placed a LOFT order last week, and I found some really cute pieces that will carry us from the dog days of summer straight into those crisp fall days. They’re running a good sale right now, too—up to 50% off your purchase!
LOFT Seamed Denim Midi Dress in Classic Mid Wash
at LOFT (8) // Kaanas Alayta Sandals (8) // Splendid Ruth Mary Jane (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: In structured woven stretch cotton denim, this seamed midi dress is endlessly flattering – and irresistibly versatile.
- Shift – fits straight and relaxed
- 48″ from center back neck to hem, measured from a size 8/M
- Fabric: 95% Cotton 2% Elastane
- Care: Machine Washable
MY THOUGHTS: Denim dresses are trending, and I was pleasantly surprised by how flattering this one is. The seaming details and fitted shape create nice lines that skim your curves without being too body-con. The denim is soft, stretchy, and comfortable, and the back slit adds ease of movement.
I like it with the gold sandals (above) for now and with the brown Mary Janes (below) as we head into fall.

Fit-wise, the medium is a bit roomy under the arms, but I’m not sure my hips would fit comfortably in a small. I could try the petite medium, since it’s also a little long in the bodice, but I worry that might veer too far in the other direction.
VERDICT: I’m undecided. I think I’ll try a small and a petite medium before making a final decision, but this could be a great piece to have for the transitional season ahead.

LOFT Denim Utility Mini Skirt in Light Vintage Indigo Wash
at LOFT (8) // striped sweater tee (M) // VEJA Esplar (39)

PRODUCT DETAILS: This structured woven cotton blend skirt does denim’s cool attitude with a utility twist. Front zip with button closure.
- Shift – fits straight and relaxed length
- 18″ long
- Fabric: 83% Cotton 17% Lyocell
- Care: Machine Washable
MY THOUGHTS: I’m surprised by how much I like this skirt! The A-line silhouette isn’t usually my favorite, but somehow it works here. I love the utility details and zipper pockets, and the medium wash is versatile and easy to style. The fabric is soft and comfortable, too. They call it a mini, and while it’s definitely well above the knee, it doesn’t feel too short on me.

VERDICT: I’m leaning toward keeping this one. I want to try it with a few more tops from my closet, especially ones I might not want to fully tuck in, before making the final call.

LOFT Striped Crochet Trim Sweater Tee
at LOFT (M) // LOFT denim skirt (8) // VEJA Esplar (39)

PRODUCT DETAILS: In a touchably ribbed knit, this streamlined modern stunner features crochet trim – with artful attitude. Boatneck. Short sleeves.
- Slim — streamlined to fit close to the body
- Length: Abbreviated – hits at natural waist
- 22″ long
- Fabric: 100% Cotton
- Care: Machine Washable
MY THOUGHTS: This top is super cute—the light blue and white color palette is so pretty, and the crochet trim around the neck and up the sides is a fun touch. It’s fairly body-con, so I sized up to the medium. I tucked it in all the way with this skirt, but at 22″ long, it’s also a great length to leave untucked with jeans.
VERDICT: I’m not sure I’d get a lot of wear out of this as we head into fall—it feels more summery to me—but it really is a cute piece.

LOFT Wavy Stitch Raglan Sweater Tee
at LOFT (S) // LOFT denim skirt (8) // Citizens of Humanity Genova (29) // VEJA Esplar (39) // Sam Edelman sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Styled with raglan sleeves for a touch of sporty sweet, this soft cotton blend sweater tee is a fave staple – that always makes waves.
- Classic — follows your contours with a little room
- Length: Abbreviated – hits at natural waist
- 21 3/4″ long
- Fabric: 42% Polyester 41% Cotton 17% Nylon
- Care: Machine Washable
MY THOUGHTS: This sweater has a similar blue and white color palette that also feels quite summery to me, but with a more traditional fit and relaxed shape that might be easier for some to wear. In this case, the size small is plenty roomy.
I front-tucked it with the denim skirt and also tried it on with jeans left untucked so you can see both looks. I actually prefer it left out. These jeans are a bit long with these shoes, but I wanted to show how I’d style it with light-wash denim and ivory shoes.

VERDICT: I’m not sure I’ll keep this one, but it’s a great option if you’re looking for something like it.

Heathered Ribbed Wedge Sweater Light Oat Melange
at LOFT (M) // LOFT Twill Mini Pocket Skirt (8) // Loeffler Randall jelly sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: In a combed cotton blend knit for extra softness, this ribbed sweater is a fresh staple for any style routine.
- Slim — streamlined to fit close to the body
- Length: Abbreviated – hits at natural waist
- 21″ long
- Fabric: 72% Cotton 28% Polyester
- Care: Machine Washable
MY THOUGHTS: I love a wedge-style sweater, and this ivory marl is a great neutral to pair with browns this fall, as I did here with this brown skirt and sandals. I really like this whole look! Because of the banded waist, I left it untucked, and the shorter 21″ length makes that work.

Fit-wise, I’m wearing the medium here and thought it was a good fit—until I tried the navy one in a small… now I’m not so sure.
VERDICT: I might keep this one, but keep reading.

LOFT Twill Mini Pocket Skirt in Cacao Nib
at LOFT (8) // Sanctuary mesh tee (M) // LOFT sweater (M) // Splendid Mary Janes (8) // Loeffler Randall jelly sndals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: In structured woven stretch cotton twill with sleek patch pockets, we love the timeless-meets-modern appeal of this must-have skirt. Front zip with button closure.
- Shift – fits straight and relaxed
- Length: 18″ long
- Fabric: 97% Cotton 3% Spandex
- Care: Machine Washable
MY THOUGHTS: This skirt fits a bit differently than the jean skirt—it’s snug in the waistband and has less of an A-line shape. I do like that it’s slightly longer in the back, which gives extra coverage (or room for a rounder bottom, lol… mine’s pretty flat!).

I first tried it with the ivory wedge sweater, both untucked and front-tucked, and then played around with pieces from my closet. I actually like it a lot with the Sanctuary mesh tee!

The color is great, and it has a classic look. I just wish the waistband weren’t quite so small. That said, if you struggle with skirts and pants gaping at the waist, this might be a great option for you.
VERDICT: Still on the fence—what do you think? I should have tried it with my chocolate brown suede boots, they could be a nice pairing for it once the weather cools down.

LOFT Ribbed Wedge Sweater in Deep Space Blue
at LOFT (S) // MOTHER The Half-Pipe Ankle (30) // Splendid Ruth Mary Jane (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: In a combed cotton blend knit for extra softness, this ribbed sweater is a fresh staple for any style routine.
- Slim — streamlined to fit close to the body
- Length: Abbreviated – hits at natural waist
- 21″ long
- Fabric: 72% Cotton 28% Polyester
- Care: Machine Washable
MY THOUGHTS: This is the blue sweater I mentioned above. I ordered this one in a small, and I think it fits well. The ivory might work better with the skirt in a small, too. I like the navy for a change from all my neutrals, and it pairs really nicely with light-wash jeans.
VERDICT: I might keep this one, but I don’t need both—they’re too similar. Which color would you choose?
