Smoothing wrinkles, sharpening jawlines, and plumping cheeks and lips are all part of today’s beauty playbook, right alongside gel manicures and hair glosses. For years, neurotoxins like Dysport, Xeomin and Jeuveau shared the spotlight in the injector toolbox with Botox Cosmetic, while hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane and Juvéderm, and biostimulatory fillers like Sculptra and Radiesse, dominated in the volume and contouring categories. Now, a fresh generation of injectables is on the menu, with next-gen toxins, regenerative fillers and skin-boosting hydrators giving providers even more ways to personalize tweakments. Here’s what we know about the latest injectables coming to your injector’s office.
Fresh Toxins
Letybo
What It Is: Letybo is the latest botulinum toxin type A injectable to receive FDA approval for the vertical frown lines (11s) between the eyebrows.
The Backstory: Developed by South Korean company Hugel, Letybo has been widely used internationally under the name Botulax and is now making its debut stateside. Now that it’s landed in the United States, it’s gaining traction among providers looking for alternatives to legacy brands, and with patients who want flexibility in cost and formulation.
FDA Status: It was approved to treat glabellar lines (11s) in 2024.
Expert Insight: “The FDA approval has actually been around for about a year, but sometimes it takes a while for new products to launch,” says New York plastic surgeon Michael Kane, MD. “Korea is a toxin powerhouse, and it’s the number- one toxin there.”
Chapel Hill, NC dermatologist Sue Ellen Cox, MD adds, “It’s going to work just as well as other toxins patients may have tried in the past.”
Relfydess
What It Is: A liquid-format botulinum toxin that’s ready to inject, no mixing or reconstitution needed.
Why It Matters: Galderma’s Relfydess could simplify how neurotoxins are prepped and delivered in practice. By eliminating the need to mix vials before use, it reduces the risk of dosing inconsistencies, speeds up prep time and streamlines the overall injection process.
FDA Status: Approved in Europe and Australia; under U.S. review.
Expert Insight: Munich, Germany dermatologist Christian Merkel, MD says its fast onset stands out. “More than a third of patients see results from day one—I’ve seen it firsthand,” he says. “I asked my first 20 to 30 patients to send photos after 24 hours, and many already showed improvement. It also saves time, so I can focus more on the patient.”
New Fillers
Evolysse Smooth + Evolysse Form
What They Are: Two new hyaluronic acid gel fillers from Evolus, the company behind Jeuveau. Smooth targets fine lines and subtle facial refinement; Form adds volume and structure to areas like the cheeks and jawline.
The Backstory: Created with Cold-X technology, the fillers are made without heat to preserve the hyaluronic acid structure and improve how the filler blends into the surrounding skin and tissue once injected. The texture and performance of these gels have been getting early praise from injectors.
FDA Status: Both fillers were approved in early 2024.
Expert Insight: New York dermatologist Doris Day, MD has been impressed with Evolysse Smooth. “It comes out almost like water droplets and really maintains its form. It’s a low G-prime filler, so it’s very soft, but it still holds its structure. It’s a nice addition for certain patients, for the lips or perioral region, to help soften and contour.”
Nanofat
What It Is: A filtered, emulsified form of a patient’s own fat that is injected to improve skin quality rather than boost volume.
The Backstory: Nanofat is created from fat that is usually taken from the thighs or abdomen and then mechanically processed until it no longer has volumizing properties, but it retains regenerative components like stem cells and growth factors.
FDA Status: While it’s not formally FDA-approved for cosmetic use, it’s regulated when it is harvested, and then reinjected in the same session.
Expert Insight: “Nanofat is more about quality than quantity,” says Tucson, AZ plastic surgeon Raman Mahabir, MD. “It is full of growth factors, hormones and regenerative compounds that can improve skin texture, tone and healing. I use it for microneedling and as part of fat-grafting sessions. You’re taking the patient’s own biology and using it in a way that truly enhances their recovery and results.”
alloClae
What It Is: Derived from purified donor fat, alloClae can be used anywhere fat naturally exists for contouring (like subtle buttock enhancement or hip dip correction).
The Backstory: Developed by Tiger BioSciences and regulated as human tissue, alloClae represents a shift toward more regenerative and tissue- like treatments. It’s often described as a “fat-like” filler, and offers volume and structure.
FDA Status: It is an FDA-compliant HCT/P (Human Cell and Tissue Product), which means it does not require formal FDA approval or clearance to be marketed.
Expert Insight: “The future of injectables will be more balanced toward face and body,” say Vero Beach, FL plastic surgeon Alan Durkin, MD. “This biomaterial brings regenerative body aesthetics into the next step of our industry’s evolution. We’ve used alloClae at my practice and have been singularly impressed by the outcomes.”
Glow Getter
Restylane Skinboosters
What They Are: Microdroplet injections of hyaluronic acid designed to deeply hydrate and improve skin quality.
The Backstory: Though they are not yet FDA-approved in the United States, Restylane Skinboosters have been used globally for more than 10 years to improve elasticity, texture and radiance.
FDA Status: FDA approval is pending and expected in the coming year.
Expert Insight: “We are excited for Restylane Skinboosters to become available in the U.S. in the next year,” says Anne-Cécile Chevrier, Galderma’s head of marketing for injectable aesthetics. “Since the first approval in 2004, it has already launched in more than 80 countries around the world. We’re looking forward to bringing this original hyaluronic acid skin-quality injectable, which is uniquely designed to enhance six key aspects of skin quality, to even more people.”
