    MANILA, Philippines — Five years ago, Pangs Panaga helped Petro Gazz win its breakthrough PVL title in the 2019 Reinforced Conference, dethroning Creamline in Game 3 of the finals at Ynares Sports Center Antipolo.

    Fast forward to the present day, Panaga was instrumental for the undermanned Cool Smashers in pulling the plug on the three-peat bid of her former squad on Tuesday night as Creamline advanced to the 2024 Reinforced Conference semifinals. FULL STORY

    MANILA, Philippines — Bernadeth Pons is looking forward to facing her college coach Shaq Delos Santos when she leads Creamline against Cignal in the PVL Reinforced Conference semifinals on Thursday at Philsports Arena.

    After keeping Creamline’s semifinal streak going since joining the league in 2017, Pons will be up against the same coach who honed her skills at Far Eastern University and even with defunct Petron in the Philippine Superliga. FULL STORY

    MANILA, Philippines–Creamline completed the semifinal matchups of the PVL Reinforced Conference after sending home two-time defending champion Petro Gazz, 25-23, 25-19, 25-18, on Tuesday at Filoil EcoOil Centre.

    The Cool Smashers arranged a date with Cignal while PLDT, which eliminated Chery Tiggo earlier, set up a semis meeting with undefeated Akari. Both games will be on Thursday at PhilSports Arena. FULL STORY

    MANILA, Philippines — Khat Bell’s career-high 40 points weren’t enough as Chery Tiggo blew a 2-1 set lead against Lena Samoilenko-led PLDT in the PVL Reinforced Conference playoffs on Tuesday at Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

    Surpassing her previous high of 39 points, Bell left everything on the floor in the knockout quarterfinals with 39 kills and a block on top of 15 excellent receptions and nine digs. FULL STORY

    MANILA, Philippines — Veteran spiker Majoy Baron provided composure and stability in the fifth set to help PLDT return to the PVL semifinals after a year of absence.

    Baron scored four of her nine points in the fifth highlighted by a big block on Khat Bell to reach matchpoint 14-9 before Lena Samoilenko ended the game with another block to seal a 25-23, 25-27, 15-25, 25-18, 15-9 win in the Reinforced Conference quarterfinals on Tuesday at FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.     MANILA, Philippines–PLDT forged a PVL Reinforced Conference semifinal clash against top seed Akari after stopping Khat Bell and Chery Tiggo, 25-23, 25-27, 15-25, 25-18, 15-9, on Tuesday at FilOil EcoOil Centre.

    Elena Samoilenko poured in 37 points, 32 from attacks, three from blocks and a pair of aces, for the High Speed Hitters, who returned to the semifinals for the first time since the All-Filipino Conference last year. FULL STORY
