Italy’s Etoile Ballet Theater to perform for first time at Cairo Opera House – Egypt Independent

The Cairo Opera House has signed a  contract with Italy’s Etoile Ballet Theatre, which will be performing for the first time in Egypt.

The troupe will present one of its most successful shows entitled Vampiri (Vampires) for four nights in Cairo and Alexandria, at 8 PM, on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, July 28, 29, and 30 at Cairo Opera House’s Main Hall.

While on Sunday July 31, the troupe will give its last performance at Sayed Darwish Theater in Alexandria.

The show was designed by Walter Angelini and Ines Albertini, and the music was selected from the works of major international composers, including Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, Jenkins and others.

The show presents a symbolic idea that deals with the mutual feelings between humans and other creatures through the story of Ambrosia, the queen of vampires, who loves a human named Dorion.

Ambrosia holds a party during which she seeks to restore her youth and beauty, so two of her followers go out to have fun and hunt a new victim. They encounter a girl and lure her to the place of their queen.

In the meantime, Dorion feels her desire to include him in her world by sucking his blood, so he runs away and events follow.

The Etoile Ballet Theater was established in Italy in September 2020 and includes professional ballet performers of different nationalities.
