Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) seeks an experienced Human Resources professional to join our growing HR Team as an HR Business Partner. As an HR Business Partner, you will serve as the primary HR point of contact to assigned divisions within the organization. The HR Business Partner will collaboratively support Leadership and Staff in the areas of staffing, talent management, engagement, and employee relations. The HR Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor and consultant to Leaders and Staff, and as a liaison with HR colleagues to develop strategies that will promote CRJ as an employer of choice.

Qualifications

HR Business Partner Role Key Role:

  • Provides consultation to Leaders and Staff in the following areas: staffing, talent management, performance management, rewards and recognition and employee relations
  • Meets with Leaders to assess and anticipate HR-related needs and issues
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations questions and concerns
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition Specialist to develop recruitment strategies and to track and report on open positions and recruitment initiatives
  • Partner with HR colleagues in Payroll, Benefits, Training, and DEI to best meet the needs of the organization and workforce
  • Works proactively to improve the work environment, build morale, and increase and retention
  • Investigates workplace issues and conflicts and brings them to a resolution; document issues and actions taken to address them
  • Develop creative ways to deliver a positive candidate and new hire experience
  • Provides coaching to managers and staff on employee relations issues to promote positive relationships
  • Works with leaders to create and revise job descriptions
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of HR policies
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master’s HRCI (PHR or SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
  • comprehensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Ability to travel as needed
