How Creators Are Building Long-Term Wealth with ‘Unsexy’ Businesses | The Skinny Confidential

Chloé Watts is a visionary tech entrepreneur, speaker, and the founder of ChloeDigital, a strategic growth consultancy empowering digital creators to build scalable, sustainable online businesses. From coding her first website at 16 to building a global brand that supports some of the most influential voices in the digital space, Chloe has spent over a decade at the intersection of tech, culture, and creator empowerment.

Through ChloeDigital, she’s helped hundreds of creators turn content into capital — not through trends, but through timeless strategy and “unsexy” business infrastructure that fuels long-term wealth. Her mission? To help creators stop hustling for likes and start building real legacies.

Now in a world of AI, the next big thing is at your fingertips. With that, let’s welcome Chloé to the blog to talk all about AI powered digital products and how as a creator, you’re already half way there.

Let’s talk about the side of influence we don’t post on the feed.

That feeling of being creatively stale. Of being a little trapped by the very content that got you here. That quiet, annoying question that hits you at 3 a.m.: “Is this it? Or is there something more?”

If you’re feeling this, you are not alone. For over a decade, at my company chloédigital, I’ve been the strategist for some of the world’s top creators, and I’ve seen this happen to the best of them. You’re too ambitious to stay the same, but the “next step” isn’t clear.

For years, the model for growth was to launch a physical product. And that model is brilliant. But that path can also lead to a different kind of burnout.

I’ve been in those ‘what’s next?’ meetings. We’d brainstorm big ideas like apps or tools to serve the community, but the conversation always died when someone said, “we’d need a developer.” The great idea would get put in the ‘someday’ pile because it seemed too hard, too expensive, or just too techy.

I’m here to tell you: that ‘someday’ is now.

The “tech wall” is officially gone. The new, more powerful way forward is to package your unique expertise (the magic only you have) into a scalable digital product. This new path is all about being the Creative Director of your vision, no coding required.

I’m here to give you the new strategy.

The Mindset Shift: You’re Not a Coder, You’re a Creative Director

First things first. We need to kill a toxic old story. Stop telling yourself, “I’m not a techie enough to build an app”

Got it? Your new mantra is: Your Vision is the New Code.

Think about it. You’re already a Creative Director. You direct your brand, your aesthetic, your content, and your community. Building an app is the exact same process. Your job is to direct the vision, not physically write the code. With the AI tools available today, technology is your new intern, your creative partner, just waiting for your direction.

Your Unfair Advantage: You’re Sitting on a Goldmine

Let’s be brutally honest. As a creator, you are sitting on a data-driven goldmine, and most founders would kill for what you have. This is your unfair advantage.

Deep User Insight: You know your community’s problems, desires, and daily frustrations better than anyone. Traditional startups have to spend millions on market research to guess what people want. You just have to open your DMs.

Built-in Distribution: The single hardest part of launching a product is finding customers. You’ve already done that. Your community is your built-in audience, your beta testers, and your first wave of loyal users.

You are starting the race on lap 50 while everyone else is still lacing up their sneakers. The only question is, what are you going to do with it?

Find the “Unsexy” Problem (And Make It Magical)

Your app idea doesn’t need to be the next Instagram. The best, most successful apps solve a simple, specific, almost “boring” problem that is tied directly to your expertise.

The magic comes from packaging your unique solution in a beautiful, seamless way.

Stop thinking about what’s revolutionary. Start thinking about what’s annoying your audience. What’s the one question that floods your DMs? The problem you find yourself solving over and over? That’s your app.

Are you a wellness creator? Your followers are doing the daily walk, but they’re tracking it in a basic Notes app. That data is dead. It’s not motivating them, it’s not connecting them, and it’s not unlocking anything new. The solution? An app like ‘Sole Mates’ that glamifies their daily hot girl walk, connects them with “Walk Buddies,” and unlocks exclusive content from you after a 7-day streak.

Are you a beauty expert? Your followers buy the products you recommend, but then those products go to die in a drawer. They have no idea what they own, what’s expired, or if that $80 serum was even worth it. The solution? An app like ‘Empties’ where they can scan a product’s barcode to add it to their digital shelf, track their “cost per use,” and get alerts when it’s time to repurchase.

The goal is to create a better, more bespoke wheel for your people.

How to Actually Build It: Meet Vibe Coding

Okay, so you have the mindset and the idea. Now, the how. This is where it gets really good. I call this method Vibe Coding.

Vibe Coding is simply using your own words and creative vision to direct an AI to build your digital product.

I recently ran an experiment to prove how fast this is. It’s a simple two-step process: first, I used an AI as my creative partner, and second, I used another AI as my developer.

Step 1: Get the Vision. I went into Claude (an AI chatbot) and treated it like my expert brand strategist. I gave it this simple prompt: “Act as my expert brand strategist. I’m a goal-setting creator and I want to build an app for my community called ‘Delulu Diaries.’ The problem is my audience uses a Notes app for journaling and Pinterest for vision boards, and the two are disconnected. I want an app that combines both. Can you write me a professional, detailed ‘Creative Director’s Brief’ that I can give to another AI to build the first version?”

Step 2: Build the Product. Claude gave me back a perfect, detailed brief. I literally just copied that brief and pasted it directly into Replit, an AI-powered tool that builds apps.

After a few quick, conversational refinements (literally just telling the AI, “make the font more elegant,” or “add a button here”), I had a beautiful, working first version in under an hour.

You have this power at your fingertips right now. You can use your words to direct AI-powered tools like Claude to be your strategist, and tools like Replit, Loveable, Figma Make, or Bolt to be your builder. The barrier to entry has been completely obliterated.

Welcome to the new creator blueprint. It’s bigger, it’s more scalable, and it’s a way to build a business that leverages your unique genius in a way that brand deals never could. Your expertise, packaged as a tool, can serve your community 24/7.

This is the start of a movement for a new kind of founder: the Creative Director. If this idea sparks something in you, I want to give you a tool to get started.

Come find me on Instagram @chloedigital.ai and DM me the word ‘VISION’. I’ll send you my private ‘Creative Director’s Brief’, the exact template I use to turn a simple idea into a product.

Let’s start building the future together.
