UAE expresses condolences
The UAE has strongly condemned the Delhi blast.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed in a statement that the UAE expresses its strong condemnation of these criminal acts and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that aim to undermine security and stability, according to WAM.
The Ministry also expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, and to the government and people of India. It also shared its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
‘Full wrath’
After the security meetings, Amit Shah took to X to give the public an update. He said that he has instructed senior security officials “to hunt down each and every culprit behind this incident.”
“Everyone involved in this act will face the full wrath of our agencies,” he added.
Kerala and Goa increase security
The southern states of Kerala and Goa have also heightened security in the wake of the blast in New Delhi.

Dr Pramod Sawant, the Chief Minister of Goa, said to PTI that the police in the state are on high alert as a precautionary measure.
Another security meeting
Home Minister Amit Shah has left his house to attend another security review meeting, according to PTI.

Arrests before blast
An AFP report cites police as saying the men who were arrested in Faridabad before the blast were linked with organisations listed as terror outfits in India.
It is suspected that the Red Fort blast was a reaction to these arrests.
Case handed over
Indian news media has reported that the blast case has been handed over from the Delhi Police to the NIA by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Airport issues advisory
Security checks have increased at airports across the country, prompting advisories to passengers to arrive early.
Bengaluru’s Kempegowda Airport said, “Due to enhanced security measures at airports across the country, we request all passengers to plan their travel and arrive at BLR Airport well in advance. This will ensure a smooth journey providing sufficient time to complete security check without delays.”
It also urged travellers to keep checking updates from their airlines.
Increased security was seen outside Patna Airport on Tuesday, as security personnel stopped and checked cars outside the building.

Sniffer dogs at train stations
IANS reported that police at Anand Vihar Railway Station — a hub in the part of Delhi that borders Uttar Pradesh — have increased security. A video shows an officer leading a sniffer dog to examine passengers and their luggage.

Investigation at the site
The NSG carried out an investigation at the blast site near the Red Fort. The officers were seen holding boxes and devices to help them in their investigation. One of the boxes appears to have equipment used to investigate bombs.

Fact check
Earlier, the Press Information Bureau said that social media posts claiming that Special CP (Law & Order) Ravindra Yadav confirmed that the blast was caused by a CNG explosion are false.
“No official from the Delhi Police has made any such statement. The incident is being investigated by the concerned authorities,” said the Bureau. It urged the public to stay alert and not to share unverified information.

Lucknow under high alert
Lucknow, a large city in Uttar Pradesh, has been put on high alert after the blasts. An official said to ANI that police “are conducting checks at various strategic locations in the city.” Vehicles in the district are being inspected as well.
The public has been urged not to spread rumours. The official added that the police are checking social media.

More security forces
The Inspector General of the Central Reserve Police Force, Rajesh Agrawal, arrived at the Red Fort blast site, ANI reported. He said that information on the blast would be shared by Delhi Police, and the CRPF only provides assistance to them. “Our exercise (for security enhancement) is going on,” he added.
King of Bhutan leads prayer
The King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, led a prayer for the victims of the blast in New Delhi. He was accompanied by thousands of Bhutanese nationals in the prayer, which was held at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu.

Families mourn victims
“I want justice for my son,” the mother of one of the deceased said to ANI. She said that the family learned of the blast around 1am IST and when they reached the site, they saw the body but were not allowed to go further.
PTI has identified that one of the victims was Ashok Kumar, from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh. The agency reported that he was coming home after work when the explosion took his life.
Alerts raised across Indian cities
Among the cities which are under heightened security are Nagpur in Maharashtra, Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, Pauri in Uttarakhand and Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.
Prime Minister Modi speaks
PM Modi is currently on an official two-day state visit in Bhutan. During a live speech in Thimpu, Modi addressed the blast, saying that “all those responsible will be brought to justice.” He added that the entire nation stands with the families of the victims.
Security tightens
Security has tightened across various regions in India. The Srinagar-Jammu national highway on Tuesday saw vehicles being stopped and checked by police. Udhampur, a city near Jammu that also serves as the Northern Command headquarters of the Indian Army, has been put on high alert.

Counter-terrorism forces arrive
National Security Guard (NSG) has arrived at the site near the Red Fort. The NSG is the central police in India, and is a counter-terrorism force.

Who is present at high-level meeting?
According to ANI, the meeting, which is happening at Home Minister Amit Shah’s house, is attended by Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Director of the Intelligence Bureau, Director General of the National Investigation Agency and Delhi Police Commissioner. The DGP of Jammu and Kashmir has reportedly joined the meeting virtually.
Death toll rises to 12
PTI has reported that the death toll in the blast has risen to 12, as Amit Shah starts chairing the high-level security meeting.
Defence Minister assures
Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister, began his speech addressing the Delhi Defence Dialogue in New Delhi, taking place on November 11, by expressing his condolences to the families of the blast victims. He added that the perpetrators, when found, would “not be spared”.

Red Fort closed for visitors
In light of the attack, the Archaeological Survey of India said that the Red Fort will remain closed for the next three days — until November 13.
Security officials arrive for meeting
IANS reported that Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha and National Investigation Agency (NIA) Director General Sadanand Vasant Date have arrived at Amit Shah’s residence for the security meeting. Their cars could be seen going through a heavily guarded road, filled with barricades.

Suicide attack?
According to ANI, initial investigations suggest that the blast may have been planned as a suicide attack, with the motive being an earlier bust of two of the suspect’s associates — although this has not been confirmed.
Investigation continues on Tuesday morning
Following the car blast that killed at least nine people in New Delhi on Monday night, forensic examinations are underway as three arrests have already been made.
