Aquarius Monthly Horoscope

    MONTH OF December

Season’s greetings? More like season’s meetings. The first three weeks make you a Water Bearer on the move as the Sun sprints through Sagittarius and your eleventh house of teamwork and technology. You’ve got business to handle before the winter solstice and Capricorn season arrive this December 21 and put you into holiday hibernation mode.

If there’s any day for festivities, it’s the December 7 Gemini full moon, when la luna beams into your fifth house of celebration, romance and glamour. But all the same, the moon will be teamed up with Mars retrograde, and things could turn dramatic fast. Pace yourself on the drinks if you’re at an event and avoid button-pushing people. This is a great day to put your talents on display or to do a gift exchange since you’ll be in playful and childlike spirits.

Has the last month been all work and not nearly enough play? Don’t worry, Aquarius, the fun times will resume soon enough. On December 20, lucky Jupiter will return to Aries and your social third house, sparking up the esprit de corps and getting your creative wheels turning. Until then, keep pushing to the professional finish line.

Bountiful Jupiter’s finishing its third and final trip to Pisces and your second house of work and money, a cycle that started back in May 2021. Your finances could be in stellar shape as the year draws to a close, slowed-down economy be damned. If not, get out and mingle for some jingle because the first three weeks of December could turn up an exciting moneymaking opportunity where you least expect. With manifester Neptune also in Pisces (and ending its retrograde December 3), the Law of Attraction is really on your side. Just be your charming and radiant self and watch what you magnetize!

The pace slows down starting December 21, when the Sun takes a monthlong dip into Capricorn and your restful twelfth house—joined by mental Mercury, social Venus and deep-diving Pluto. Translation: Your mind, body AND soul all need a break! The December 23 Capricorn new moon is a great moment for soul-searching and retreat. However, it will be hard to say no to all the enticing invitations that come pouring in now that Jupiter’s back in your outgoing third house. Keep it low-key through Christmas Eve, but you can expect to perk up a bit on Christmas Day when the moon is in Aquarius. This is also a great moment for some “me time,” to read a book, pamper yourself and do whatever the heck YOU please instead of pleasing everyone else!

New Year’s Eve has a similarly comfy and introverted vibe for you this year. The moon is cozied up in Taurus and your domestic fourth house. Your lids could be dropping long before the Times Square ball does! On top of that, communication planet Mercury is turning retrograde in your restful twelfth house from December 29 to January 18. There’s a lot of emotion to process from this past year, and it could happen tonight. Snuggle up with movies, a charcuterie board and a pet—at least for part of the night!

With romantic Venus and permabonding Pluto connecting, some Aquarians could also get a midnight proposal…fair warning. But whatever happens, there’s so much to look forward to in 2023. Most of all, tough Saturn will finally leave your sign on March 7, after two-plus years of hard life lessons and maturing moments. You’re ready to move on and apply what you’ve learned—but know that lighter, brighter days lie just ahead!

Network! It’s Sagittarius season until December 21

Let the festivities begin! The Sun is in Sagittarius until December 21, blazing a fiery trail through your eleventh house of group activity and networking. You’re in the zone here as the natural ruler of the zodiac’s eleventh house, bringing people together around a shared cause or mission. Gather your friends for some lighthearted fun as the year wraps up. Who says you can’t do good while you dine, drink or shop for holiday gifts?

There are plenty of opportunities to contribute to a worthwhile mission as you celebrate. Make a charitable donation in the name of a client or the “friend who has everything” (more “stuff” isn’t always a gift to everyone). Reduce consumer waste by organizing a holiday clothing or home-decor swap instead of buying new. Host or attend a ticketed event with proceeds going to your favorite nonprofit. Let your Aquarian do-gooder get creative here!

Neptune retrograde ends on December 3

Has your money been funny? Fog around your finances may have confused matters since June 28. Perhaps you had a period of soul-searching involving your path. On December 3, nebulous Neptune ends a five-month retrograde in Pisces and your second house of income. If money’s been slipping through your fingers, you’ll get a better grasp on it now. Add more soul to your goals and find ways to make an impact.

Heads up: Enchanting Neptune will give you the urge to splurge—possibly more than during the retrograde once it fully powers up. While you should certainly treat yourself to some holiday-season outfits and budget for special gifts, you don’t have to break the bank playing Santa. Strike the right balance between indulgence and wastefulness. With charitable Neptune here, look for a few tax-deductible organizations and make a donation, perhaps in someone else’s name as a gift. Even a little bit can make a difference!

    December 7 Gemini full moon

Hang all the mistletoe! Some holiday season romance could be on the agenda as the December 7 Gemini full moon spotlights your fifth house of passion, creativity and self-expression. With spicy Mars conjunct this full moon, you won’t be holding back your sauciest opinions—and your confidence could reach peak levels!

A frisky fling could make for a festive 2022 finale, and with hasty Mars at the wheel, you’re likely to smooch first and ask questions later. (Don’t let us stop you!) Your inner entertainer will also be stoked by the full moon, and Mars’ passionate performance (company party karaoke, anyone?) could turn all eyes onto you. You’ll certainly attract attention today, so make the most of this moment and put your talents on display. Break out the bling and give your Christmas ornaments a run for their money! This is the time for your most glittery, over-the-top outfits that turn every head your way. (Head-to-toe metallic? Why not?)

Your outspoken comments are just as likely to stop people in their tracks and get the crowds buzzing. Just be careful not to court controversy for the sake of attention. If you’re gonna speak up, make sure you have something powerful and heartfelt to say…especially in this tense climate. People are on edge enough as it is.

If this full moon coincides with a holiday gathering, make sure to eat a proper meal first and pace your cocktail consumption. This is the kind of cosmic climate in which you’re one spiked eggnog away from an embarrassing meltdown. And with Mars retrograde, your normally peaceful sign could have one of your famous temper flashes, where suppressed anger and resentment come out with the aid of that liquid courage. Spare yourself and your reputation from a messy cleanup job that could easily be avoided.

Jupiter returns to Aries on December 20

Ready to have fun again, Aquarius? This December 20, expansive Jupiter ends its third lap through Pisces and your money sector, and finally settles into Aries for a second round (it was here from May 10 to October 28 of this year). The outspoken planet will be in your third house of communication, ideas and kindred spirits until May 16, 2023, giving you the stage to tout a message or lead people into trailblazing terrain.

Got a brand or business? Dive into marketing, and spread the word about your offerings. You’ve been toiling away to produce something, and now it’s time to promote! With Jupiter in your local third house, you could get more involved in neighborhood events and possibly even relocate or start hanging out in a new part of town.

Looking to move? Try before you buy (or rent). Book an Airbnb in areas you’re considering and see what it’s like to actually be there in your day-to-day existence. If you need walking distance to a cafe, yoga studio and market, see how you feel in the downtown district. And if you can’t sleep with loud street noise and lights, experience the outskirts and see how you vibe with it. Mid-May, Jupiter will move into Taurus and your domestic fourth house, and you’ll be much more in the mood to put down roots. Use these next five months for due diligence!

December 21: Sun enters Capricorn and December 23 Capricorn new moon

Ready for a “silent night” or two? Prepare to slip into a sensual and restorative groove. On December 21, the Sun sinks into Capricorn and activates your twelfth house of healing, rest and transitions for a month. If you RSVP’d “yes” to every event over the last three weeks, you’ll get more discerning about your attendance. During this foggy four-week cycle, you simply won’t have the stamina to be “on” for day-into-evening affairs or endless hangouts. Keep the gatherings small and intimate—and carve out time for solitude. You could tumble down a rabbit hole of studying, tuning in to higher wisdom through meditation or developing an artistic talent.

On December 23, the year’s final new moon arrives in Capricorn and your twelfth house of conclusions and healing. It sounds like a bit of a paradox: New moons mark beginnings, but this one is in your zone of endings. But in a way, it makes sense. Sometimes you have to release the past in order to write a new future. If you’ve been in denial or clinging to a person or situation that no longer serves you, this new moon will give you the courage to release that “sure thing,” scary though it may seem.

One word of advice: Don’t listen to too much advice! This new moon will be at odds with outspoken Jupiter in Aries and your third house of friends and ideas. You have a natural tendency to opinion-poll anyone and everyone when you’re faced with a decision. But on this new moon—and with Mercury retrograde coming soon—you could end up even MORE confused.

Mercury turns retrograde in Capricorn on December 29

So yeah, on that topic: Communication planet Mercury turns retrograde from December 29 to January 18, causing misunderstandings, technology snafus and travel chaos…just in time for the holidays.

Mercury will backtrack through Capricorn and your foggy twelfth house of closure, healing and hidden agendas. You’re doubly apt to have your words misconstrued now and even turned against you. Be careful whom you confide in as a frenemy could leak your private conversations or spill a secret into the rumor mill.

It’s also entirely possible that your brain will need a break during this mentally taxing time, especially since the Sun, Mercury, Venus AND Pluto are all in Capricorn. What are you holding onto that’s zapping your life force energy? It’s time to clear the air or distance yourself from the draining emotions if you can. If you need healing or recovery from a challenging pattern, Mercury retrograde can be a good time to step back and reflect.

This Mercury retrograde cycle may be a favorable time to mend fences—or to take a timeout and rejuvenate. Slow down as much as you can, Aquarius. Your dreams could be vivid and prophetic, helping you resolve things while you sleep…that’s if you actually CAN fall asleep since this retrograde could disrupt your rest. Power down the backlit screens and avoid stressful newsfeed checks.

    Money + Career:

Get out and circulate! The Sun is visiting Sagittarius and your convivial eleventh house until December 21, gifting you extra popularity and crowd appeal. One of your cutting-edge ideas could go viral, so let your quirky personality shine! Fame might come your way at the December 7 Gemini full moon. Just be careful how boldly you put yourself out there. With la luna conjunct Mars retrograde, you could come across as obnoxious and aggressive when that’s the last thing you intend.

Retreat, review and revise when the Sun moves into Capricorn and your restful twelfth house for a month on December 21. Tie up loose ends before Aquarius season begins in a month. Your energy could be lower than usual now, so conserve your resources.

Another reason to pace yourself? On Dclass=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” ecember 29, communicator Mercury begins its final retrograde this year, disrupting technology and interactions through January 18. Until 2022 draws to a close, you’ll need to

take a few mental breaks and hold off on signing contracts. A creative project might need some re-evaluation—is it something you’re even excited about anymore? This is a good time to revisit your interest in lingering plans or to put them to bed for good.

Explore new options as they come, but don’t be afraid to say, “Let me digest and get back to you.” Your decision-making radar is out of commission during this phase. But if you take time to follow your intuition, and even a few prophetic dreams, you’ll get the guidance you’re looking for soon enough.
