The 2024 Emmy Award Winners – Dark Horizons

    Netflix, FX

The 76th Emmy Awards have wrapped up with FX’s “Shōgun,” “The Bear,” “Hacks” and “Baby Reindeer” dominating the race – the first two also dominated the Creative Arts awards last weekend.

“Shōgun” took the top prize of Best Drama along with wins for its lead actor and actress and direction, though missed out in supporting categories to “The Crown” and “The Morning Show” while “Slow Horses” took a writing honor.

On the comedy front, “The Bear” had four wins for male lead, supporting actors and direction but lost the top comedy series award to “Hacks” which also won for best actress and writing.

On the limited series front “Baby Reindeer” ruled with Best Limited Series, writing for a limited series, and two acting awards, while Jodie Foster took best actress for “True Detective: Night Country” and another acting award went to “Fargo”. “Ripley” won for direction.

Sadly “Only Murders in the Building”, “Fallout,” “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” “The Gilded Age,” “Abbott Elementary,” “Palm Royale,” and “Reservation Dogs” all walked away empty handed.
