Reigning national 10,000m champion Kenneth Kiprop Renju has been handed five years for anti-doping rule violation.
The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) found Renju to have used prohibited substance (Methasterone) which is a breach of the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules.
The 25 year-old, beat a strong rich field in April this year at the Kenya National Championships, that included Abraham Longosiwa, former Olympics silver medallist Paul Tanui and Japan based athlete Wesley Kimutai.
Renju who is also the reigning Prague Half Marathon and Lisbon Half marathon ban starts from 13 May 2022 and his results disqualified from March 20, 2022
