Amazon Prime has premiered a featurette for their upcoming “Fallout” TV series with some of the creators from the games talking about how faithful the show wil be to the games.
Art Director Ishvan Pely says he’s “blown away” with how much the show has stuck to Bethesda’s original designs and the company was ‘correct’ in its approach to the series.
Executive Producer Todd Howard says Bethesda had been approached about film adaptations in the past, but it was never the right fit. Thus came the series with “Westworld” co-creator Jonathan Nolan, a self-confessed big fan of the games, to handle it.
Nolan himself makes a fun appearance when someone in power armor hands him a drink as he says: “Several years ago, I decided I was going to write the next great American novel, and then a friend gave me a copy of Fallout 3 and now I’m working in television.”

Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Aaron Moten, Ella Purnell, and Walton Goggins star in the series which unfolds in the 1940s after a nuclear war and the television series will feature Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner as showrunners. Nolan is set to direct the premiere.
