It’s that time of year again — the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Every summer, it sparks a mix of emotions: some people are completely over the hype, while others still look forward to restocking beauty staples, updating wardrobe basics, or snagging a designer piece at a discount. As part of my job, I do cover the sale, but I always aim to keep things real and helpful, sharing only the pieces I genuinely love. I also want to start by saying: don’t feel pressured to buy anything just because it’s on sale or trending. The NSale can be overwhelming, and it’s easy to feel like you need the newest of everything. But often, your wardrobe already holds more potential than you think — maybe it’s just a new pair of shoes or one fresh piece that can breathe life into what you already own.
Covering this sale is genuinely fun for me — I love getting a peek at what’s coming for the next season (fall is hands-down my favorite time of year), and from what I’ve gathered, many of you find the try-ons and product picks helpful. This post is packed with info, especially since Nordstrom has made some key updates in recent years. The good news? Shopping the sale is now easier than ever with features like early previews, the ability to build a wishlist, and a smoother checkout process — more details on all of that below.

What is the Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the retailer’s biggest event of the year — and one of my favorites to shop. It’s a rare chance to grab brand-new fall arrivals at deeply discounted prices from top brands like Free People, Vince, Madewell, Sam Edelman, Farm Rio, Adidas, and more. You’ll also find some great summer pieces included, making it the perfect time to scoop up anything you’ve been eyeing. If you’re expecting, it’s an especially good opportunity to save on big-ticket baby gear like strollers and car seats.
When is the Anniversary Sale?
This year, the gap between cardholder and public access is shorter, which should give more people a fair shot at grabbing their favorites before they sell out. All Nordstrom cardholders can start shopping on July 10, with early access beginning as early as July 8, depending on your Nordy Club status. The sale opens to everyone on July 12 and runs through August 3 — after that, prices go back up on August 4. Online shopping begins at 12:01 AM ET on the day you’re eligible to shop.
Be sure to log-in and check what date you can shop. The past couple of years Nordstrom gave select accounts influencer access to shop the sale early even if they were not credit card holders.
Sale Preview – Nordstrom offers an online preview of the Anniversary Sale starting June 26, allowing you to browse everything early and save your favorites to a wishlist. This makes checkout much faster once you’re eligible to shop. Pro tip: if you’re able, set your alarm for 12:01 AM ET on the day your access tier opens. When the time comes, simply move your wishlist items to your shopping bag and check out quickly before things start to sell out.

How do I prepare for the Sale? What about the Nordstrom Credit Card?
If you’re a cardholder you’ll want to check your Nordy Club status first to see when you can begin shopping. If you are not a cardholder, but would like to become one, you can apply for a Nordstrom credit card here and begin using your card immediately upon approval. If you make a qualifying purchase with your credit card on the same day you’re approved, you’ll also receive a $40 bonus note that can be used during the sale. While having a Nordstrom card does have its benefits and grants you early access to shopping the sale, it’s not necessary to have one and would only apply if you find it fitting for your circumstances.
However, everyone is able to join the Nordy Club and I encourage you to do so even if you’re not interested in getting a Nordstrom credit card. It’s free to join and earn points no matter how you pay.
Cardholders can schedule a double rewards day to shop so that you earn double the points for your purchases that day.

Create a game plan!
I’ve found that shopping the sale is much easier (and less overwhelming) when you go in with a game plan. Start by going through your closet to identify what’s missing or what needs replacing. Then, make a list with three categories: needs, wants, and potential gifts — especially with the holidays in mind. It’s also a great idea to set a budget ahead of time to help you stay focused and shop intentionally.
The best place to see my sale coverage is Instagram and my LTK account. I’ll also try and post round ups to the blog, but everything will be saved to LTK in a folder marked 2025 NSale.

What’s included in the sale?
The sale includes a little bit of everything — from designer clothing to everyday brands you know and love, shoes, beauty products, accessories, kids and baby gear, and even home goods. It’s a great time to stock up on wardrobe basics like undergarments and layering tees, refresh your fall wardrobe, or finally grab that handbag you’ve been eyeing. They also usually have a great selection of activewear and plenty of work-ready pieces included in the sale.

I also try to cover items for men and children since I know so many of you, like myself, will be shopping for your families. Maybe I can wrangle Matt into his picks for a photo/try-on haul, ha!
Items tend to sell out quickly, so if there’s something you really want, I recommend checking out with that first. Nordstrom offers free shipping and returns, so you don’t need to worry about multiple orders or extra fees. We’ve also heard that selecting express shipping can sometimes help reduce the risk of your order being canceled. While restocks do happen, not everything gets replenished — and influencers aren’t given any updates on restock timing. If something you love is sold out, keep checking back throughout the day. Inventory is always shifting as returns are processed and items are added back.
I always do try-on hauls and try to style pieces multiple ways.

In past years, I’ve shared my favorite picks from the sale preview, followed by a try-on haul featuring everything I purchased. I also put together blog posts highlighting best sellers and always wrap up with a roundup of in-stock favorites before the sale ends. If you’re curious about what’s typically included, you can check out my coverage from previous years here, here, here, and here.

Quick Tips!
- Create your wishlist now! Once your tier opens up, transfer your wishlist to your shopping bag and checkout.
- set your alarm for 12:01am ET the day your tier opens up, checkout, then go back to sleep, ha!
- Items go quickly- so if there is something you really want, I would purchase that first and selecting quicker shipping can also help ensure your order is completed.
- If you’re unsure of a size, purchase 2 sizes and return the one that doesn’t fit. (Nordstrom offers free shipping and returns)
- If something you want is sold out, check back for restocks several times throughout the day. Inventory is always fluctuating as returns are made and added back to inventory.
- Follow me on IG and LTK for sale updates and exclusive content.
- The sale ends August 3rd and prices go up August 4th.
